Harbour race
PHCC is well known for hosting the very successful “Poole Harbour Canoe Race”.
This is a set of races of 4, 8 and 15 miles for different types of canoes and paddling ability, around looped courses within Poole Harbour. No details yet, watch this space
The format features a “Le-Mans” style start from the beach at Lake Pier location and copious amounts of food and prizes afterwards. This takes place in mid September and is a not to be missed event. Check in from 9:30, briefing at 11:00, first races start at 11:30, prizes at 15:00.
Competitors come from some distance away, we have even had our good friends from the Cherbourg canoe club join us for the last few years.
