Club nights
For the duration of British Summer Time, club night is Wednesday, when we usually (but not always) meet at
Lake Pier at 7pm for a social gathering and leisurely paddle.
Members – Phone Home
On Wednesday nights it is expected to have all club boats back in by 10pm so that the duty officer can lock up and go to the pub.
If for any reason you cannot make it back for 10pm then you can now phone the club hut directly.
We have bought a cheap mobile to reside permanently in the club. Phone number is here
It is intended for incoming calls but is also available to call 999 in an emergency.
There are usually enough club members coming along to have something going on for most paddlers.
These evenings are sometimes combined with such activities as barbecues, canoe polo, and other fun/skill themes.
Members should be BCU 1 star or equivalent standard to come for club paddles.
For juniors, we hold meetings on Tuesday nights and there are often training opportunities for novices.
